Who We Are

 Julie Nguyen founded The K.I.N.D Services Society (TKSS) in early 2023.  Her passion to serve those in need stems from her own experiences growing up in the inner city school district.  Julie's parents immigrated to Canada and she watched them struggle to make ends meet.

She spent her early teenage years volunteering for the Boy’s and Girl’s club at a local community center and moved on to help at The Door Is Open, a soup kitchen based in Vancouver’s east side. More recently, she has organized monthly fundraisers to purchase basic necessities and food in order to serve the homeless community in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side.

Her vision for TKSS is to provide a safe and accessible space for at-risk youth and low-income families to acquire resources, materials and basic necessities.

Trina is an entrepreneur who comes from a long line of business owners.

As an immigrant to Canada, she holds a soft spot for helping  those in need.  Trina has spent her entire adulthood giving back to community.  She's delivered food to the elderly, distributed meals and clothing to the DTES, provided self-care services to women's shelters across the lower mainland, and sponsored numerous local charity events.

Liza has spent over a decade in the corporate world.  Her passion lies in helping women and youth to thrive in career and in society.  Liza has been an ambassador of care packages for the homeless in the  DTES  as well as volunteered with Dress For Success.

Karen has dedicated over 20 years  of her career in management/directive roles.  Her volunteer profile is expansive and includes work with Vancouver's DTES, Surrey Memorial Hospital in the Geriatric Department, and the Cinderella Project to help break cycles of poverty by encouraging youth to stay in school and complete their highschool education.
